MicChecker is a mic test that runs entirely in your browser. Below is plainly what we do and do not collect, and a form to reach us.
When you run the test, your browser reads your microphone locally to draw the level meter. That audio is not sent anywhere, not recorded, and not stored. If you use the record-a-clip feature, the clip is held only in your browser's memory so you can play it back, and it is discarded the moment you leave the page.
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits and understand which fixes people find useful, so we can improve the page. We also load Google Analytics to measure traffic; outside the US it loads only if you accept the consent prompt. None of this identifies you personally, and no microphone data is ever involved.
If you ask to be notified at launch, we store your email address only to send you one message the day the full tool goes live. No newsletter, no spam, no sharing with anyone. You can ask us to remove your address at any time using the form below.
